Codex
The console's saga. Its own contracts pay in pages, never items, and /codex keeps the pages you earned.
The console posts contracts of its own. They pay in pages, never in items. Each page is part of the console's own record of this world. The pages you earn go into your codex, and /codex opens them.
How a page opens
The first page opens on 24 October 2026, the first day of Season 1.
- The console opens its pages one at a time. When one opens, it posts the task to the whole server. The first reads:
a contract from the console. find a drained sea and stand where the water should be. the pay is a page. - Open pages are at the top of
/contract list. You don't need to take them. - Every player can earn every open page once. A page never runs out, and nobody can take yours.
- A find task counts when you enter a chunk of that zone type while the page is open. If you found that zone type before the page opened, go back into it. No coordinates are given.
- Each page pays 5,000 contracting XP. See Skills.
- When you earn one, you get a private line, such as
error log 01 is in your codex. /codex 1.
Reading
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/codex |
How many pages you have, the pages you have read, the pages open now, and how many are not open yet. |
/codex <n> |
Opens page n as a book on your screen. |
/codex <n> chat |

The book is shown to you, never given. It is not an item, so it can't be dropped, stolen, duped or sold.
Arc 1
Arc 1 has ten pages, error log 01 to error log 10.
The text of the pages is not on this wiki. Read it in game.
Codex pages are not fragments. Fragments are numbered written books found in event and trial loot. See The Console.
