Player numbers and eras

Your permanent number, your era tag, playtime tags and how to hide them.

Every player gets a permanent number and an era tag. Nobody can buy, grant or reset them.

Your number

When you join for the first time, the server announces your name and your player number in chat.

  • Numbers are given in the order of first join on the world.
  • The number is yours forever.
  • Numbers belong to one world. Numbers from test worlds do not carry over to the launch world.

Your era

The era tag shows when you arrived. Founders get [Founder] (see below). Everyone else gets the year they first joined, such as [2026].

Chat looks like this:

[2026] [100h] <Steve> hello

Tags show in chat only. The tab list shows your name, with your cohort tag if you have one.

Founder

A [Founder] tag marks the first players of the launch world. It is shown in gold. Founder tags are on since the launch on 13 October 2026. You get one with:

  • player number 1 to 1,000, or
  • a first join within 30 days of the launch.

Everyone else keeps their join year.

Founders also get the founder role in the Discord when they link with /link. See Discord.

Playtime tags

Playtime milestones give a permanent tag and a message in chat.

Milestone Tag
10 hours [10h]
100 hours [100h]
500 hours [500h]
1,000 hours [1000h]
5,000 hours [5000h]

The server announces each milestone in chat. Only your highest milestone tag is shown.

Other tags

  • [Survivor] and [Headhunter] come from hunts. [Survivor] stacks, for example [Survivor x3].
  • [Hunted] and [Fled] show while a hunt is on and for 7 days after you flee.
  • [LIVE] is a red tag you can turn on while you stream or record. See Feats and flair.
  • Cohort tags join the same prefix. See Cohorts.

/tag

/tag (alias /era) shows your number, your era and your next playtime milestone.

  • /tag hide hides your era, milestone, Survivor and Headhunter tags in chat. It also hides your era on /stats and /seen.
  • Cohort and [LIVE] tags are not affected.
  • /tag show shows them again.
  • [Hunted] and [Fled] always show.

Other identity commands

  • /joindate shows the day you first joined. It is kept forever.
  • /playtime shows your total time on the server.
  • /firstwords shows a player's first chat message. See Stats and leaderboards.

Kill feed

Deaths are written as one line. For example:

Steve was slain by Alex using "Wrist Snapper" after popping 6 totems. Alex ended Steve's 9 kill streak. Alex is on a 5 kill streak.

The verbs are slain, shot, crystalled, anchored, bedded, blown up, killed and finished off. "Finished off" means the player died to something else, such as a fall or lava, 1.5 to 10 seconds after a hit from another player. Crystal kills never name a weapon. Deaths with no player involved keep the normal game message, with the totems and the lost streak added. The feed has no coordinates and no dimension.
