Doorways
A common End zone. Huge empty door frames stand in rows over the void, all facing the same way.
Doorways is a zone type in the End. Huge door frames stand in long straight rows across the zone. They are empty, they all face the same way, and they lead nowhere.
What it looks like
- Each frame is end stone bricks, two blocks deep, with purpur around the opening.
- The opening is twice as tall as it is wide, from 6 by 12 up to 10 by 20 blocks. Every frame in a zone is the same size.
- The rows are straight and all run the same way. The frames in one row line up with the frames in the next, so you can look through one door after another.
- An end rod stands on top of each frame.
- A frame over an island stands on the island. A frame over the void floats, and the floating frames rise and fall slowly along the rows.
The frames are only added into empty air. No island is cut.
Where
Only in the outer End, far from the main island, the exit portal and the gateways. The main island is never touched.
Most frames float over the void. Stepping through one with nothing under it kills you.
How rare it is
Doorways is a common zone. About 4 percent of End zones are Doorways, about one zone in 23. It exists in the End only, and only in End land far from anything that existed when it was added. The End near the main island never gets it, so go far.
There are no other chunk errors inside the zone.
See Chunk errors for every zone type, and Exploring for how finds are logged.
