Dupes
Dupes are allowed and never patched for being dupes. Exploit weeks open extra ones for a limited time.
Dupes are part of the server. A dupe is never patched for being a dupe.
What is allowed
Any dupe you can find. The server does not list them and never explains how one works. Finding them is part of the game.
The only reason to change a dupe is if it crashes the server or drags the tick rate down for everyone. Then the mechanic is fixed, and the fix goes in 6d63's public log. See Lag and performance.
Exploit weeks
An exploit week is a limited time when extra dupes are live. They are off the rest of the time.
- 6d63 opens the window. It is not tied to a player.
- When a window opens, the server announces it. For example: "A dupe is live for 2 days." When less than a day is left, the time is given in hours.
- When you join during a window, you are told how long is left.
/dupessays whether a dupe is live and how long is left. If another window is planned, it can also say when it opens. It never says which dupe.- The server never explains how a dupe works. You find out.
The World Meter can unlock an exploit week. See World Meter.
Limits
Some dupes have caps, such as a daily total for the whole server, a daily total per player or a cooldown. Caps stop one player from filling the disk or lagging the server. They limit the mechanic, never the player.
Which dupes open in an exploit week can change from one window to the next. Watch the announcements.
