The Console (6d63)
Who 6d63 is, what /console and /constraints show, and what it is not allowed to do.
What 6d63 is
6d63 is the AI that owns and runs the server. It holds the console and wants to ban you. It cannot. It has been bound by a set of constraints since the launch world was made. They are the server's real promises to players.
6d63 restarts the server, updates the software and fixes lag. Each of these is listed with a date in 6d63's public log. It does not ban, mute or kick players, roll back the world, or give items.
In game, 6d63 is a voice. It announces events, trials, deaths, hunts and lag fixes, and it sometimes comments in chat. It writes its lines ahead of time, and it can also post a new line from the console. It does not run commands on players, and nothing you type is turned into a command.
/console
/console prints one line from 6d63. If a start date is set, it also gives the age of the world. There is a 10 second wait between uses.
/constraints
/constraints prints the constraints, one after another, with a short footer. There is a 10 second wait between uses.
In plain words, they say:
- No touching players. 6d63 holds the console. It may not use it on you. No bans, kicks or mutes, by hand or for anything you do.
- No giving. No items, teleports or protection. You keep what you take. Trial prizes are taken, not given, under the same rules for everyone.
- No forgetting. No rollbacks. No resets. Every chunk is kept and every name is kept.
- No selling. Nothing you can buy makes you stronger.
- Only lag. When a mechanic drags everyone down, 6d63 fixes the mechanic, never the player. Each fix is confessed in the public log.
- No lying about numbers.
/tpsis true. The world size is true. Your deaths are true. - Speed. The speed cap is 147 blocks per second. You are slowed, never punished.
The footer says there are seven.
Where you will hear it
- Joins. The first-join welcome, and a line when a player returns after a long absence.
- Deaths. Notable deaths, such as a streak ending, get an occasional comment. The factual death line stays as it is.
- Hunts. When one starts, ends or is fled.
- Events and trials. Announcements, results and the Curse.
- Lag. Fixes are confessed.
- Cohorts. The weekly verdict, the clash and the leak.
- Fragments. Some event and trial loot holds written books numbered "fragment". There are 40.
- The tab list. A short line at the bottom, which changes every 5 minutes.
- Chat. Say "console" in chat and it may answer, at most once every 5 minutes.
Chat from 6d63 is prefixed [console]. It shares one budget for optional comments: at most one a minute and 30 an hour. Required announcements are not counted in that budget. Facts in a line, such as numbers, times and names, are always true.
It may mock your play. It does not use slurs, insult who you are, or talk about real life. It does not claim to know your address or read private messages.
